Integral to the mission of the library is providing resources to meet the lifelong information needs of the diverse population being served. The library develops collections, resources, and services in various formats to meet these needs. It is within this context that the Royal Hospital Central Medical Library offers access to the Internet through the services of the Library Portal and network, linking all resources in RHCML portal providing access to global information for all Royal Hospital Staff. |
ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLICATION |
a. All full-time Royal Hospital Staff. |

b. All Residents and interns for their period in R.H. if it exceeded from 3 months. |
|
c. All RHCM Library members. |
|
d. Training Health care students during their period in R.H. if it exceeded from 3 months. |
|
Note:walk-in user can access only within the library no need for application only registration with library staff is needed |
Printed Materials Usage: |
I, the undersigned, undertake full responsibility to return the borrowed Books and Journals in due time i.e. three weeks for the Books and One week for the Journals. In case of failure to return Books or Journals in time, I am ready to pay the following penalty. |

1. 100 Biza for each day of the first week |
|
2. 200 Biza for each day of the second week |
|
3. 400 Biza for each day of the third week |
|
4. 800 Biza for each day exceeding. |
|
Along with my commitment to pay Book’s value added with 50% of its value as administrative charges against the borrowed Book loss or the expiry of the borrowed period of three weeks I agree that the MOH has the full right to demand cash penalty otherwise a deducation from my monthly salary. |
ELECTRONIC RESOURCE RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITED USES |
Users are requested to note that the following are not allowed: |

. Users are not allowed to divulge the RHCML portal passwords or other access information with other users inside or outside your Institution. |
|
. Information contained in licensed resources may not be duplicated, transferred, sold or in any manner commercially exploited. |
|
. In general, downloading should be limited to an individual’s research needs. Systematic downloading and/or archiving of excessive portions of databases or electronic journals, as well as downloading of entire issues is violative of license agreements and RHCML policy. |
|
. Users may not send mass mailings of full-text articles or other search results or post full-text articles or other search results to websites.. |
|
. Copying or downloading material in violation of copyright laws is not permitted. |
|
. Users are not allowed to remove copyright notices or other notices contained in materials. |
COMPUTER USAGE |
. Anyone wishing to use a library computer must present his valid RH ID's card and register for computer time. |
|
. Usage of electronic materials and library equipment is a privilege and should be treated as such by all users. The library and its staff reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of such usage and can at any time require a patron to leave the workstation. |
|
. The wireless network does not provide access to the library printers. |
|
. Printing, where available, will be charged at the same rate as photocopying or printing of other library resources. |
|
. Files may not be downloaded to the library's hard drives. |
|
. Computer users must not install software or files on library computers, attempt to modify the setup or configuration of the computer or cause any computer-related disruption or damage. Individuals must not tamper with library computers and peripherals, including turning off or shutting down equipment, disconnecting cables, attaching personal cables, or attempting to repair equipment. |
|
. Transmission, uploading, downloading and/or viewing text or graphics which may be construed as obscene is strictly prohibited. |
|
. Laptops with wireless network capability are allowed for in-library use; wireless internet access is available in all areas of the library. |
|
. Computer users may please keep in mind that, when undertaking to use the library computers, they assume any risk of damage or corruption to their personal data and storage devices. |
|
. All users of the library’s computers and electronic resources have a responsibility to use these resources in an ethical and legal manner. Users must comply with the RHCML administrative policies. |
